Famous UFO Sightings - Washington Invasion - 1952
 Washington, DC 1952 Several fast-moving objects appear on radarscopes at three separate installations, including Andrews AFB. Interceptors were scrambled, but didn't find anything. The same thing happens the next night, the objects were confirmed by witnesses on the ground. The largest peace-time press conference in the government's history was called to explain to reporters that radar traces were caused by thermal inversions, despite the absence of proper weather conditions on the nights in question for this phenomenon to have been the cause of the events.
